Welcome to Covenant Homecare and Hospice

Covenant HomeCare is the area’s largest locally owned home health and hospice provider with one of the largest rehabilitation departments in East Tennessee.  We care for more than 4,700 patients annually, through branches in Knoxville, Oak Ridge and Morristown.

Our mission is to help people live with comfort, dignity and independence.  We offer a complete range of services for transitional or continued care, including skilled nursing, certified nursing assistants, physical therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, medical social services and behavioral health services and home medical equipment.  We also have specialized services and clinicians for congestive heart failure, COPD, diabetes, infusion therapy, joint replacement, stroke rehabilitation and wound care.

After suffering from chest pains, it took just 23 minutes – 40 minutes faster than the national average – to get Mrs. Hood from the entrance of the emergency department to the cath lab with a stent in place. She has no doubt that those minutes made a difference in saving her life and in her recovery. Within days of being released from the hospital, she was enjoying a lunch date with her daughter and returning to church.

Cardiac rehab at Fort Sanders Regional has strengthened her heart and helped renew her spirit. Hood says her heart was broken twice. Her husband’s death broke her heart emotionally. The heart attack broke her heart physically. “But by the grace of God and medical expertise, I’m mending now, and I’m thankful to be alive.”
