Covenant HomeCare is the area’s largest locally owned home health and hospice provider with one of the largest rehabilitation departments in East Tennessee. Covenant HomeCare cares for over 4,700 patients annually, through branches in Knoxville and Morristown.

Since 1978, Covenant HomeCare has been providing the highest quality home care services to help each patient maximize his or her quality of life by continuing recovery in the comfort of home. Covenant HomeCare offers a complete range of services for transitional or continued care, including skilled nursing care, certified nursing assistants, physical therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy and medical social services. Additionally, there are specialized services for cardiac care, COPD, diabetes, infusion therapy, joint replacement, stroke rehabilitation, telemedicine and wound care. We have certified clinicians for these specialized areas of practice.
Covenant Hospice provides support and care for terminally ill patients so that they may live as fully and as comfortably as possible. Considered to be the model for quality, compassionate care at the end of life, hospice care involves a team-oriented approach to medical care, pain management, and emotional and spiritual support that is tailored to the patient and family’s needs and wishes. The focus is on caring, not curing, and in most cases care is provided in the patient’s home or in a home-like setting. Covenant Hospice was the first hospice program in Tennessee.
Unlike many of our investor-owned competitors, Covenant HomeCare is not-for-profit, community-owned and based in East Tennessee. Our revenues stay in this area in the form of advances in treatment and technology, as well as innovative health improvement programs like Katerpillar Kids Camp, an annual bereavement support camp for children who have lost loved ones. Covenant HomeCare and Covenant Health contribute over 1,000 man-hours annually toward hosting the camp.
Covenant HomeCare is Medicare-certified and CHAP-accredited. Our triage department is staffed with registered nurses 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We also have the convenience of a centralized intake department to process all referrals.
